I bought a folding sun screen for my car. It was too big because the employee picked it out for me. I went to take it back, they would not do it without the receipt. They told me they could give me a gift card. I said fine. The gift card would not go thru, they asked me for my drivers license, they said that they could not give me a gift card because i had a check out. If you are going to return something and do it like this, and you have some checks out, take somebody else that does not have a check out anywhere, especially with walmart, and let them dod the gift card in their name.
