When seeking to purchase a mattress, my mother was looking for a stearns and foster. The salesperson at mattress barn located in jensen beach, florida, told her that stearns and foster was no longer in business and pursuaded her to buy an Englander brand mattress. This is not true, as they have merged with sealy's, therefore, this was misrepresentation of the product originally intended to purchase.
At the time of purchase, the box springs were faulty and were installed improperly, significantly affecting the mattress. I had spoken with bob ashburn, the vp of sales & marketing at Spears Mattress Company and he was rude, arrogant, and did not offer any accommodations of this carelessness. I was told that the depth was within the guidelines stated in the warranty, which, in the customer service report at the time the switch of the box springs were made, was absolutely incorrect and inaccurate.
The fact that my mother had several on-going issues with the original box springs, due consideration should have been given in making better judgment and determination in this case. It has been an absolute discomfort, and the inconvenience and aggravation this caused her has left her feeling fatigued, aching and tender. More attention and quality service should have been provided in this instance.
