I have just spoken with one of your representatives, Cheryl ext. 6018. I must say that I am very disappointed with the way that I have been treated.

First, please allow me to comment on a policy of yours. My ex-husband and I rented a home together two years ago. He obtained service in his name and credit, he added my name on simply to enable me to call in and inquire about the account. One year ago we legally separated and I moved out of the home.in the meantime my ex-husband racked up a 213.00 bill and never paid it.

Within the past month I have a bought a house and moved back into Highpoint. When I called in to activate service to my dismay I was told that since my name was on the old account I had to first pay his bill and a deposit. I found this extremely unfair and felt that this was a very unethical business practice.

However since I needed the gas for the house I agreed to pay his 213.00 bill and a 125.00 deposit. The representative then offered to bill out the deposit if I paid the past due bill. Unfortunately I did not have the past due amount to pay that day and called back a few days later, once I myself was paid, to pay the past due bill and to find out about the billing out procedure of the deposit.

That is when I spoke with Cheryl. Cheryl then told me that she would not bill out the deposit because the previous representative had not placed a note on the account with that information. She told me that I would have to wait 48hours for a supervisor to pull the call and listen to it and then wait another 48hours for the gas to be turned on.

I explained to Cheryl that I am now livening in the home with my four year old daughter with no gas and that I would need to speak to a supervisor tonight. Cheryl then in a very rude way stated that's not going to happen. I then asked her to clarify that information. She then stated that we are all adults and we do not need a supervisor here with us at night and disconnected the call.

I cannot believe how disgustingly I have been treated, and how unethical your business practices are. I want my deposit waived and I want that representative reprimanded. I am first going to forward this e-mail to your corporate office, the better business bureau, News2, and anywhere else that I can send it. First your policy is unethical and can't be legal and if it is I will fight to have it changed.

Second your representative was very rude and unprofessional. I am extremely disappointed and I am tired of consistently getting bad customer service from your company. Thank you for your time and consideration.
