I was told after a month of employment that i was not qualified for the assistant managers position. I was told to come off maternity leave three weeks early or else i was going to be fired. Now ayear and a half later the assistant managers position came up again and i was denied. They let a girl who has worked for them approximately five months be the assistant. And all Robert said to me was he had to give it to somebody, he came up with all these accusations of how i am unable to work around his schedule but the truth of the matter is he refused to work around mine.
I HAVE FIVE CHILDREN and he refuse to give me a raise or allow me enough hours to work but all he kept saying is it's not FAMILY DOLLAR POLICY. He never allowed me to talk to the district manager, ANDY & but he sure did blame a lot of things on him. Iwas the only black cashier working for FAMILY DOLLAR on 2nd STREET and i always gave 110%each day. I didn't even recieve a raise after he gave Dana the position so why is she making $1.50 more than me and i was there longer than she was. Racial discrimination. I HAV eCAUGHT AND CONFRONTED shoplifters, did all my work and asisted others and waited on customers without complants but you treat me like dirt. I will never work for Robert & again.
