I purchased a wedding dress from Bridaltown on June 9. They offered a rebate from a company called "American Business Premiums" with a PO Box and a guarantee of rebate of $250 if the extensive instructions were precisely followed.
Instructions were given to complete and send original forms and receipt duplicates by registered mail within 15 days of purchase. *Then, exactly 58 months later (which is why I'm reporting this now) I was to send another letter with copies and forms to the same PO Box and company. If I followed all instructions correctly, I would receive this rebate within one month.
I sent the second packet, with all duplicates and originals at the exact time as directed, by registered mail. I received the letter back, return to sender, not deliverable as addressed.
Apparently, American Business Premiums is defunct, and with it, my well-earned rebate. I cannot find the company name anywhere on the web searches. I should have guessed it was a scam to begin with, but I thought it would be worth the try.
Does anyone else have a similar experience? Did anyone follow up on their rebate offer? I haven't found any other complaints.
