On October 26, we attended a presentation with the opportunity to join to receive discounts on our travel (airfare and lodging). Seeing how we like to travel locally on a regular basis, the sales pitch didn't focus on local travel let alone with enough of a discount to see the savings. We opted NOT to invest in this type of offer. Upon check out we received (not surprised) a cold exit with our cruise certificate being sent via mail. I do have to say also that the free gifts for calling within 48 hours were of absolutely no use to us and did set the tone for the type of business we were dealing with. But being the optimist I am, I wanted to see for myself.
As of today, May 1st, we still have not received our certificate. I spoke with Adrienne at the Irvine office (moved to Carlsbad) and was told we would have them in 2 weeks and that was January 18th. She stated that she did not have our address, which I did give to her. Our application had our address on it. After 2 weeks passed by I made another call and was unable to reach Adrian.
There was always a reason she was not available, running an errand, having lunch etc. I explained to the person answering the phone and I was told they would take care of it. After another week had passed I tried to call again and only received the answering machine. At this point we decided to go to the office in person and have found that the space was empty with notices from the post office on the door to pick up certified letters.
I called your corporate office in Michigan and found out they moved to Carlsbad and was given the number. After speaking with Jenna in the Carlsbad office she assured me that she would have them in the mail the next day and that Adrienne was at home on maternity leave. (Being the optimist I am, I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but now I am really glad I did NOT invest).
The next day I spoke with Reese (on 4/11/06) to make sure they were mailed out and we confirmed the mailing address. Wow can you imagine the address was incorrect (again). Now that 3 weeks have passed and the Carlsbad office is not answering their phone and there is no machine to leave a message on, we STILL have NOT received the promised gift of our choice. But if call the Irvine office the phone is still active and you can leave a message.
At this point we decided to do some investigating on your company. DGT has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau. Shamefull!!! We have also found complaints from others, on other wedsite locations.in closing the staff promise things that can't be delivered.
