We were quoted one price and charged about double. I was told I could not purchase extra insurance the day of the pickup. I was not told of a 3rd party that was contracted by the subcontractors to do the actual delivery of our belongings.
The delivery was late. We weren't there to accept so my wife's mother had to accept delivery. They unloaded the truck without using the packing list and checking off eack item as it came off so we had no idea what was missing until we came back from our honeymoon.
We were offered a measley 78.00 for items missing that amounted to a total value of 1555.00 (including pieces to a futon that were missing which makes the pieces we do have totally useless!)
This is totally unacceptable considering we were not allowed to purchase extra insurance the day of the move before the truck was loaded and the fact that they unloaded with out using the list.
This company is a rip-off! I recommend using a company with as few "middle men" as possible and (or U-Haul since you are in control of your belongings the whole time). On their website they say they are listed with the Better Business Bureau... They are listed, but not members! Big difference!!! They made themselves appear like a reputable company but are far from it. We have been dealing with them for the past 2 months and thier service is awful!!
