I consigned an item at Play It Again Sports in Bismarck in March. Since I live over 100 miles away, they agreed to send me a check when the item sold, so I would not have to drive all the way there to pick up my money. I called them on the 22nd of March and found out my item had sold, and they said they would send me a check.
On April 6 I called in to see where my check was, and they said they were out of check blanks but would send one soon. On April 14 I called again and was told the owners were not in and I would need to talk to one of them, who would be in next week. On April 24 I called back in and was told the check had been sent earlier in the week. On April 25 I got a money order that is not signed, so I cannot cash it.
I called in again and was told the same thing, that the owners would not be in until next week. Isn't that convenient? I know if I send the money order back to be signed, they will just cash it, and they will have a receipt showing they bought it, and it will look like they paid me. I emailed the corporate office weeks ago but did not even get a response from them. I guess they do not care.
I don't know how they are for people who live close by and can just run in and pick up their cash, but do not do business with them if you need them to mail you a check.
