Hello, my name is Leah. I am 18, and my sister and I were trying to purchase a Yorkshire Terrier puppy from tenon for my moms birthday.
My mom has always wanted this kind of a puppy, but we never had enough money to get one, because they are really expensive. Tenon said she would send us the dog for 300$. She gave us her address, and told us to send the money through western Union. We did that, (it ened up being 356$ because of the curency difference, and we had to pay about 60$ for the price of shipping it) they she told us she was in Nigeria, and to go back to western union and change the address we sent the money to.
We did that and then she said to send her another 200$ for the puppy, after that we were thinking that it might be a scam, so we told her to send us the puppy (since we paid for it, so it now was ours) and then we would send her the 200$ (she said she needed it to renue the medical records for the puppy)
When this happened, she stopped responding to our e-mails, and the phone number she gave us was a fax machine, we left messages, and she never returned them.
This really hurts because the day we told my mom we bought her the dog, she cried she was soo happy, she never thought she was going to be able to have a Yorkie. My mom tries not to show that she is hurt because she feels bad for my sister and I, but i know that she is deeply hurt.
This all happened within the last couple of weeks, so if anyone reads this and can help us in any way, please contact me. Don't let her do this to anyone else!
