I received an unsolicited e-mail telling me about real estate leads that would be 'guaranteed'. After about 20 minutes on the phone with the sales rep I confirmed the zip codes that I wanted to target. I was told the package was $149. I said, if I am the exclusive agent for these zip codes, sign me up. They sent me their on-line application. I completed and returned.
I started to get leads that could never be used (3 bedroom home in Hawaii for $299-$399) I telephoned them to tell them that the initial information on the profile was unusable; that I had opened only one lead and that fellow had purchased his $1.3-2MM home about 2 months before. I immediately asked to cancel this program because it was useless. They refused to cancel and told me that when I signed up, there was no cancellation clause. They can cancel or deny you access to their website but you cannot cancel. This was in August. Since that time I have not received a single lead. When I was finalizing my tax information my year end statement on my credit card showed that they had charged $640 to my account. Their comment, "You purchased a bulk package." When I told them I wanted an audit of my account showing how many leads I had received and how many I had actually 'opened' and contacted they wouldn't give it to me.instead they said that there was still 2 months left on my contract and I should take advantage of the leads they sent me. Again I reiterated that I had not seen a lead for months to which they said, then I guess we didn't get any for your zip code! I correspondeD to them was asking them if they would send me the section in my contract that said I could not cancel; it is ambiguous at best. So I told them to send me leads immediately. Five days has gone by without a single lead-good or bad. What a freakin' ripoff. They have my money, they don't perform.
