Ripoff no contract deposit Springfield

On 4-15-06 I opened 3 new lines of service with Cingular Wireless. Cingular required a $500 deposit on each line of service. I was told that the funds would be held for a 12 month period on a 2 year contract. I was told at the cingular store in Coon Rapids Minnesota on 4-15-05 I was told this by Justin K. Dealer number XPHLQ

I made a deposit of $ 1500 to start my account. Stupid on my part I know but my husband was an over the road truck driver and it appeared that cingular had better nationwide coverage then T-mobil.

I have now spent about 2 hours on the phone trying to get my deposit back after talking to 4 different CSRs I am told that Cingular has some policy that states that I must have 2 or fewer suspensions on my account in a 12 month period. My service was only suspended once for over a week we had some money problems.

When speaking to the last rep that I talk to (Dana T.) he said that he was trying to pull up a copy of the contract that I signed. Well of course I did not sign anything. I bought my phones in a cingular store and took them home and activated them.

I was told that When I activated my phone I agreed to all of thier contract. Hhhmmmm how can you agree to a contract that you never see.
If I could find the information on the web site I would agree that I agreed to it but the information is not there either.

Nothing about holding deposits past the 12 month period that I do not understand how Cingular can change the rules of the game as we go. They are holding a $1500 deposit and my bill has never even came close to reaching $500. And I have over 6000 minutes in accrued rollover.

I am thoroughly disgusted with thier policies and service.

I switched my service to Cingular from T-Mobile where I had an account for over 3 years and the only reason why we switched is we thought that they had better coverage. This to has proven to be a lie as well we have constant dropped calls and poor reception and he goes no further then Madison WI. Aprox 400 miles away and according to your coverage map that should not be an issue from Minneapolis. The last 3 nights in a row I try to call him on his cell from my cell and I am told that his number is not a valid number. But when I get home and call from the house phone there seems to be no problem getting thru???

If Cingular does not have to honor the contract why should the consumer have to. I have canceled my service with them and I probley will be charged the early termination fee but I will fight it.
