I was one of many suckers who fell for the sweet promise of success with this company. I worked for Adtec Advertising for about 4 months before I couldn't take it any longer.
They used to tell us to lie to new employees about the pay structure, job tasks, hours, and pretty much everything else. When I first started I was recently out of the military, and looking to succeed somehow. I was filled with empty promises about management opportunities and money. I was Very good about selling, but at the end of the day (usually about 14 hours) I would walk home with next to nothing in my pocket.
They make you take new employees out to "train" them, and then I had to pay them out of my own pocket EVERY DAY. You must realize that it was $50 plus everyday that I had to give them, and sometimes more than one trainee.
By the time I had worked there so dedicated and loyal for four months I had lost almost everything, my car, my apartment, and all my belongings.
On top of everything else this so called "Company" put me through, over a year later I get a letter from the IRS saying that I owe $1000 in back taxes. This is because Adtec and its owner Todd Cook had claimed to the IRS that I had made some ridiculous amount of money while working for them, so they could get a tax break.
I would advise ANYONE to stay away from this company. They also go by Granton Marketing, DSMAX, and so many other names just so they can stay off the radar.
