AdtecConsulting has the mission statement "WE'RE ALL ABOUT PEOPLE". Theyrefer to this when they call you and email you. They promise you a six month contract with "UnlimitedContract Extensions" and evenpromise you a Right-To-Hire. Irecently finished a 5 months contract at WPS in Madison, where I was placed byADTEC. Thirteen new contractors started work with ADTEC when I did. All of us were from out of state. We wereall ecstatic to find a job in this horrendous job market. We thought we wereLUCKY. Fromthe get-go things went badly at WPS. We were treated very badly at WPS. We wereworking 11 hour days and getting paid for 8, just to try stay ahead of thegame. When we asked the permanent employees questions they kept saying stufflike "You're a Contractor. You should KNOW this stuff". We had tocreate Claims Test data. The permanent employees at WPS did not want to sharetheir test data with us. None of the contractors knew how the online Claimssystem worked. The permanent employees refused to show us, because theyinsisted "You're a Contractor. You should KNOW this stuff".
We were shell shocked at the treatment we gotand contacted ADTEC. They didn't blink. They promised they'd come in the nextday to discuss the issue. They never did. We emailed them, left voicemails. Nothing happened. Adtec was M.I.A. The contractors started leaving. The firstones to leave gave 2 weeks notice. The next few gave a few days notice and leftsaying they had a "Family Emergency". The last few just upped andleft, just walked out. They couldnt take it anymore. This company has a trackrecord for treating its contractors like this. They bring in people from outof state and then treat them like second class citizens. The Better BusinessBureau was contacted, but they were unable to assist. People need to be madeaware of how this company operates before they relocate to Madison Wisconsinand get stuck in a lease and a bad job with Adtec.
