In 1999, we purchased a male German Shepard from Cindy named Arno. His parents were VA-1 Hafran's Cimon and VA-2 Carina von der Wienerau, what we paid is of no value now - Arno (we called him Zak) was our pride and joy and was purchased to be nothing but our family pet.
From the time Zak came home he suffered from numerous problems. First it was bloody lesions on his skin, then it progressed to yeast infected, bloody ears. These ailments continued off and on throughout Zak's short five year lifespan. He was finally laid to rest suffering from seizures at the very young age of five years old.
We never blamed Cindy for this, we never asked for a new dog or for any money back - Zak was our lives and we did what any good pet owner would do.
The day after we put our wonderful Zak down, we were so miserable (and it was my birthday to boot), that we decided to take a drive to Fenwald and see about a future litter of puppies.
After hours of looking at males, females, and puppies, Cindy decided to show us one more dog and out pranced our beautiful Madonna. Our lives forever changed that day by this wonderful, loving, "princess" of a dog who took our hearts. The sadness of Zak will never be gone but boy Madonna sure helped our hearts to mend a little quicker.
Cindy said she bought Madonna for $6,000 from a breeder in New Mexico but after several attempts to impregnate her it was discovered that Madonna suffered from a hormonal problem that would mean constant care should she become pregnant. Cindy said to us that she just did not have that kind of time so she has to sell her.
Cindy's words, "I could easily sell Madonna for $4,000 but because I know how much you went through with Zak and what good pet owners you are, I am willing to let her go for $2,500" -
Ha! I now know what Cindy REALLY paid for Maddie and I have also read all the negative, mean things she has on her website about this wonderful dog.
I mean, what kind of a person says these things about "a dog" - especially when the new owners of this dog never did anything to deserve this. We were nothing but good people to Cindy. We CAME BACK and bought a 2nd dog from her even after everything we went through with our poor Zak.
We wrote testimonials for her site, sent her photos, recommended her to family and friends... And it is like she has ripped out our hearts once again. Reading these terrible, terrible things about our beloved Maddie - what is the sense, what is the purpose?
I must say when my husband and I first read all of these things about Cindy on this forum, we shook our heads in disbelief. We thought, "these people have her all wrong" but now, sadly, I know differently.
I am asking Cindy to please remove all testimonials from her website that I have sent. I am also asking her, if she has a heart, to please remove any and all reference of our Madonna from her site as well.
We are now the legal owners of Madonna, bill of sale and AKC registration to prove it.
