Complaint / Review
A A A Van Lines
Ripoff, unprofessional, fraud, unethical, rude, liars, false advertising

I rec'd a quote 4 a household move & signed a contract, upon AAA van lines picking up my stuff for transport. I have paperwork signed by them, stating I pd $420 down & owed them $440 upon delivery (in 1-7 bus. Days from Feb. 3).

After many calls & voice mails 2 the company w / no answers, I found my household items in GA. Although I have a contract w / a guaranteed delivery time, I couldn't get them 2 deliver my stuff. My boss called them & they said it would be loaded the next morn (Feb. 17) in Atl & delivered to me in FL on the same day.
I was then told that my wgt exceeded what they had originally told me & now I owed them 3X the amt. Of money or I would not get my stuff. I told them no one contacted me about a different amt & I felt it was their obligation 2 inform me & get my consent if the agreement changed.

I should have had a choice on whether or not they moved my stuff if they were going to change our contract since they weighed in IL, they had time to let me know.
They brought my stuff on the 17th of Feb. At 10:30 am & sat outside for 3 hrs telling me I had to come up w / $2682 (because they were over wgt) & those were additional charges.

I am a single mom starting a new job & never would have agreed to $3000 for AAA Van lines to move me. The only reason I took the offer was because renting a truck was almost as expensive and the deal they offered me would actually save me a little money.

I trusted them & they betrayed me.

I couldn't find my stuff at 1st & when it didn't show up, I had to call. All my kid's clothes & my deceased mothers stuff are on the truck. My kids don't even have beds 2 sleep in because I trusted AAA 2 deliver as promised 4 the date & amt.in the contract. My agreement says they can change the price, upon pick up, IF I have more inventory. I actually had less because I left my living room furn.in IL. The owner of the Co. Who goes by "NICK" said he wasn't trying to be professional & since I couldn't come up w / the extra $, he was going 2 add new charges to my bill. I just want to pay my $440 and get my stuff as agreed.

This was by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. How can a "professional" company, offer you a deal, sign a contractual agreement and then change their minds 2 weeks later, once the agreement has already been fulfilled?
