I placed an order with this company on December 7 with a personal check enclosed in the amount of $203.83 for payment.

I had hoped for Christmas delivery, but was not certain that I had ordered early enough.

When Christmas passed and I still had not heard from the company; I called on December 27 to see if they had received my order. At this time, my check to them had not yet cleared my bank. I was told that they had received my order; but had been unable to fulfill it because many of the items were out of stock.

I was also told that they had sent me a postcard to inform me of my order status; but I have not yet received any mail from them. I requested that my order be cancelled on December 27th and was assured that it would be cancelled and my check would be returned to me.

I had not yet received either my check or a refund so I called again on January 10th. I was told that my refund would be mailed soon. On January 16th my bank called because my checking account was overdrawn due to the fact that Music For Little People had cashed my check and there were not enough funds in my account to cover this check.

(I was, of ocurse, also charged $27.00 for the overdraft.) I again called the company to ask why they had cashed my check after the order was cancelled and did not receive a satisfactory answer. I was told again that my refund would be sent out any day from their corporate office in California.

I telephoned again on January 23rd when I had still not received my refund, and was again told the same thing—that it was coming any day.

I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor and was told that Jeff someone, whom I had spoken with on 3 occasions, was indeed a manager of the company. I phoned again on January 30 and still had not received a refund.

I told Jeff again that I was a very unhappy customer and would be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well as a fraud complaint.

All that I want is a refund of the original payment that I sent them in good faith in the amount of $203.83. I received no merchandise and have not yet been assured that I will ever receive anything from Music For Little People.
