I am a former employee of Food Lion store#1466 in Fairfax Station Virginia. The store manager Bobby Mears is very corrupt and dishonest. Mr. Mears forcefully made me work off the clock, and as a punishment cut my hours for refussing to do so. After I had to work off the clock, Glenn Peavy, Customer Service Sales Manager, told Mr. Mears I had contacted Human Resources and as a result Mr. Mears had fired me in retaliation. I want everyone to understand and know, especially Food Lion if you are reading this, that Mr. Bobby Mears and Glenn peavy threaten employees if they do not do what they say, i.E. Working off the clock, accepting to cut hours, reshopping old food, etc.
Mr. Mears and Mr. Peavy also share no interest in employee comments or suggestions, on certain occasisons they will often refuse employees request for water, food that is given out as samples for BOTH customers and employees, and requests to use facilities such as the bathroom. Mr. Mears deserves to be termintated from the company and so does Mr. Peavy. Mr. Mears also restocks old food found under shelves that have passed expiration date, will pass them off as new to customers. Mr. Mears also threatens employees who try and complain to higher authorities.
