My mother heard an advertisement for star biz on 104.7fm asking for babies, she called me and told me to call to see if maybe my daughter had a chance. I called got an appointment with Malette they sat me in a room with cartoons while Malette took care of another parent. When it was my turn she sat my daughter in a chair to take a picture to see how she looked on film, then we went through what the catalog was all about and I admit I was sold. I called back at 2.00pm as instructed she was on anther call so she had to call me back and what do you know she called me back my daughter got the part in the catalog but now came the 690 dollars I had to come up with.
Honestly I didn't have the money but Malette said it was okay all I needed was half and I cold pay the rest the day of the shot. I paid the first half a few days later and the day of the shot I had the rest of the money but my daughter ended up in the emergency room. I could not remember to number to let them know my situation so I looked them up on the Internet and when I typed in their name I was shocked to see them on this web site. I called spoke to the front desk and they transferred me to Malette. Jumping to conclusions Malette thought I was calling to report that I didn't have the rest of the money and she told me if I didn't have it, it was okay that since it was impractical to do the photo shot with the amount I already gave her, she would take some pictures of my daughter, but I'm not brainless I was not about to spend $368.00 on just some pictures. When I finally got a chance to speak I told here my situation and I asked for my money back. Well she didn't like that so she told me she could provide some of the other stuff on the contract just not the photo shot and she ask me to think about it and if I still wanted my money back just to give her a call, she said she was busy and hung up.
It took two months to get a hold of her and when I did she said she couldn't help me I had to talk to Bruce about the refund. I told Bruce I wanted my money back he said they don't do refunds, so I reminded him of what Malette said about me getting a refund or some other stuff in the contract. So then he change his story an told me that the company gets mad at him when a child cancels so if I wanted to come in and do the photo shot I could (which he never gave me a date or time) and he said he would honor the contract with the amount I gave him because if he gave me a refund then he would be breaking policy and would have to do the same for every one else. Well I asked him if the company mentioned being mad that my child didn't show and if so what day did she miss what time was her photo shot he had no answer he could not tell me a date, time nothing. So I told him like I told Malette I want my money back, he tells me don't get upset just think about his proposal while he talked to Malette, I thought he was going to put me on hold but he hung up in my face.
(Now every time I call back they act like they don't know me or what I'm talking about, and where is this photo shot he claimed was going to happen and what about the contract he said he would honor for the money I already gave them. They have not provided anything for my child and they still have my money)
I contacted every news channel.
