Ripoff won't exhange for larger size of same item had no reciept but will to pay difference for size

I purchased a comforter at the price of 29.00 for all sizes, in December 05. There was not a queen size instock at the time. Later Jan 06 I tried to exchange it and was told I had to take a reduced price of the oct sale of 12.40. The price currently is 39$ and the larger size was 54.00 I was willing to pay the difference of 15.00 but was not given that choice was offered 12.40 for the one I was returning. Not happy. Took my comforter and left the store. Will not shop there again.
