Dec. 2004 I created an account via the Sirius web site paying in advance for a 1 year subscription. Late Dec. 2005 Sirius charged the same credit card for another year's subscription. When I emailed customer-no-service, the reply I got was "under the terms and conditions of the service you agreed to automatic billing."

This never happened. I am very careful to read all contracts and ALSO look for any options to rebill my credit card. (Was burnt several years ago. Learned my lesson!) There were two boxes in this case and the automatic renewal box was checked by default. I changed it and checked the "Pay This Just Once" box.

Be very careful when dealing with Sirius. A lot of you got a denial letter on the rebates you filed. I also received one for my rebate in late Feb. 2005. It did not give a specific reason for denying my claim. I called the number on the letter and had a check for $50 within two weeks thanks to the fact that I keep good records including the Post Office receipts specific to that rebate.

It is a shame that a unique product such as this is offered by a company that uses sleazy tactics when dealing with it's customer base.
