I made a purchase using my membership of "Uniway" in the early stages of the month of May. I purchased three large Items. I waited for the time promised to elapse, but this didn't help at all. November came and still Uniway people were trying to find out about my items. I went ahead after six no Furniture having months, and cancelled my order and asked for a refund. One of my products got to me but broken, so i sent it back thats what it says on the contract. The other two products were sending me refunds. People of Uniway gave me a call after several weeks, telling me that my refund was received, and that a check was going to be sent out over the mail. I waited and nothing until i called the manager and he personally sent the checks himself after two more weeks.
I cashed my checks and just before Christmas the checks of the refunds were rejected and my accoiunt fell into collection. I am in major debt, and my life is miserable because i am not able to have the christmas i thought i would.
The managers story of why the checks were pulled back, was because one of the employees was writing false checks to him/her self. He also told me that this person got arrested, and that the account had to be closed and a new one had to be re opened. I didn't receive a phone call, or a letter telling me this was going to take place. It was just a surprise to me when my bank called me on a monday night exactly at 10:08PM and told me what had just happened to my account. Now you should notice that banks wont call you if is not a major money loss, this should give you an idea on the amount of money we are talking about here. This has become very inconvenient because it is my money and I need it back but the people in Uniway are not wanting to give it back. I call everyday, and this doesn't affect them, it gets to the point that the manager starts to ignore my phone calls, and the staff as well. All i'm trying to do is get all my money back and go on my marry little way.
I would advise everyone not to join this fraud of a company, because you will never get your product, and if you do it will be broken or it might be the wrong stuff. Don't do it to your self. They are quick to take your money but hard to give it back.
Know this, I have been keeping record of every little detail, from the day i made the order, until today, all records, bank statements the copy of the check i used to purchase and all my conversations with uniway are recorded and i'm glad i did this because it will help, when my lawyer gives me the thumbs up for the major lawsuit my layer and i have been planning for. All we are doing is adding more and more to the case so that i can at lease get the tripple amount of what i paid for the items i ordered but never received. They will regret messing with this customer.
People just don't do it, or even go in this place, my goal is to have it closed down and never to be reopened.
