I am disabled in certain weather. One rainy day, a day I would have preferred to stay home, I had to run to Wal-mart to buy toilet paper. I usually buy in bulk and was on a mission to get the 'brick'. My leg was giving me the business the couple of miles it took to drive there. When I got to the store it was crowded. There wasn't a cart for me to drive around in and it is impossible for me to push a carriage because if somebody cuts me off, and they do, I will topple backwards with the cart on top of me. If the store is crowded, I can't walk beside the carriage; so I asked for help.
The lady at the customer service desk was nice, but I was told that there wasn't enough staff to help me get my bulky item. So she gave me a large shopping bag to help me carry it. So I stopped in the pharmacy to get my Advil and there was a store clerk there looking me up and down. I picked up my pills and started walking (limping) towards the paper goods. I stopped to crack my knee because it tightened up and I couldn't bend it. Wouldn't you know, there is the store Manager and four employees standing there waiting for me to move. They were following me! So they didn't have the time to help me, but they had the time to follow and humiliate me. Isn't that a pleasure. I told the store manager if he had the extra time, then he should be helping me. He sent an employee for a carriage. I told him it would take five minutes for a staff person to help me bring my tp to the counter. He told me he couldn't spare the staff! What's up with that! Now I get stared at and followed every time I go to that store. I wonder if I can stash 30 rolls of toilet paper into my back pocket and limp at a high speed out the front door?! What a bunch of bozos!
