Top Relocation guaranteed a moving company on Saturday, September 3rd. As specified in the contract, they confirmed a mover 1 week before the date.
The night before the move, the contractor called me directly and told me he was not coming and that it was in the hands of Top Relocation. They did not call and confirm another contractor, nor did they return my calls the day of my move.
Finally I got in touch with their dispatcher at 3pm the day of my move not knowing if any truck was coming. They said another contractor was coming, but currently he was loading his truck at another residence, needed to drive 4.5 hours and drop off that load, then drive another 3 to get to my house.
It was impossible that the truck was going to make it to my house at a reasonable hour. I told them that I would make other plans as it is unacceptable to load a moving truck in the middle of the night. My complex has a noise ordinance.in addition, new tenants were moving into my apartment the following day.
I do not believe that the truck would have come. I could not take that chance. As soon as Top Relocation got their down payment, they clearly didn't care about customer service or whether I was a satisfied customer. Since I feel that I did them a favor by canceling when I made other plans.
I would have lost my down payment whether or not that truck drove all the way to my house since I found another truck that would come right away. Now they won't admit that the truck was 8-9 hours from arriving at my house at 3pm the day they were supposed to arrive nor will they give me my deposit back.
This company is a bunch of scam artists who could care less about customer service, are completely undependable, and don't deserve the trust of new customers. Customer, beware! These people are scammers!
