When i used the "Movers/Dixie Transfer" they ripped my over $1000.00 mattress. The reason they ripped my mattress is becuase for all the furniture I had they sent out the wrong size truck. Not everything fit - that i wound up taking most of the boxes on several trips back and forth from my apt. To my new home. When i noticed the rip in the mattress I called the office the same day as my move. This was May 28. At that time they said would send someone to repair the damage. They also put my furniture in wrong and when they were supposed to send someone out for that I waited home all day, and then finally at 6:00pm when i called they told me that the guy that was supposed to come out got arrested. So they decided not to send someone to fix our mattress & offered us $63.00 for the damage. Back on August 19th i rec. A ltr and i called them as soon as i rec. It. It is now September 27 and still no check.
I live in the same town so i should have rec. The check within 2-3 business days. I have called everyday and spoke with both Bill Oakland (owner/manager) and his assistant Gloria. Each time i call and they hear my name they automatically put me on hold. I call each day to find out where the check is and i keep hearing is "it was sent out". Finally today when I spoke with Gloria she told me she never rec. Any of my 5 phone calls of yesterday and that Bill has decided to void the check he supposedly wrote. He is now to get a new check to her. I am now being asked to Pick up the check. I have a problem with that as who even knows the check will be available for pickup and even so - will it BOUNCE!
I am for warning all of you people here in TAMPA, FL. Do not use this crooked company. They are a bunch of liars and crooks. The funny part was even today when I called and spoke with Gloria she told me Bill wasn't available because he was in COURT. HMMMM I wonder why I said and she hung up on me. Real Proffessional Company. Do not use!!!
