I went to the brooklyn park store looking for bedroom and living room furniture. I also got an ad in the mail with what looked like great discounts for the furniture i was looking for. The sales rep was nice and things looked like it was going great. I made my purchases totaling 1400.00, paid in full. My delivery was scheduled for 2 days following.
As i was finishing up with my purchases the sales rep informed me to make sure that i opened all the boxes and look carefully at all my furniture. If any damages make sure that i sent those items back for replacement. My delivery arrived the 2 days after and to my surprise there was only 1 person to deliver a living room set, bedroom set with mattress set. I was thinking that was alot for 1 person. However, the gentleman managed to get my furniture in my home. When i looked at the headboard of my bed and the dresser that matched each had a small scratch. I wasnt going to be very picky so i decided that i would take it anyway and it would be easy for me to fix myself. I expected to have little something during all the hustle of moving in large pieces of furniture. When the man brought in my mattress the plastic it was covered in was torn on the end. I noticed it was ripped in that spot and was dirty. I told the man that i wouldnt except that considering i was taking the other pieces with the scrathes and that he would have to take the mattress back.
I then called and spoke to the sales manager at the store and explained that the mattress was ripped on the end. He told me that he would replace it with another new mattress.By that late evening i had heard nothing about if or when someone would be out to bring the new mattress. I finally had to call myself. I was placed on hold more than once, and finally was told that they didnt have one at the store and would have to retrieve one from their wharehouse. The sales manager told me that he would call me around noon the next day to let me know when it would be delivered.By 2:30pm noone had called either number that was given to them. I finally had to call them again. I was told that they would be bringing me another mattress that same evening. Finally at 3:30pm the man brought another mattress.
To my amazement this mattress was torn in the same place as the first one. The delivery man called the store and told them that it was torn as well. I talked to the man at the store and he said that they would bring me another one out that same evening but it would be later due to lots of deliveries. I told him that was fine. I waited until 30 minutes before the store closed at 8:00pm and had to call again to see if anyone was going to be coming out. The man i spoke with said that he had to pick up the mattress at the whare house but would be delivering it that night. I had informed him that he had already been out once and he said he would be back out again the same night. I waited that same night til 11:00pm and no delivery man. Noone from that store bothered to call me at all. Every call that was made i had to do it myself.
There has been no apologies for my inconvience so far and im still waiting for a new mattress. As far as there customer service, they have none, not even their sales managers. I feel that they should have inspected my furniture before having it delivered. So if anyone is looking to visit this store please think again. Unfortantly i got what i paid for... Cheap furniture and cheap service.
