"star of david, moving and storage" a. K. A. "union van lines, inc."
This company told me they couldn't guarantee me a delivery date unless I purchased the entire truck. Which we did. We were moving from Maryland to South Carolina and needed to stay in a hotel until we closed. When the delivery date came we were leaving the hotel and called to see what time we needed to be at our home and were told by Ron it wasn't coming and he was very rude and very unprofessional. When I questioned him he said their truck broke down and it was out of their control. When I told him I was told by Sindy if I purcahsed the entire truck I was guaranteed delivery he became angry and refused to talk no more.
Our furniture arrived after their 'sabbath" was over (3 days after our delivery date) and forced me to accept my delivery at midnight on Sunday. I am a pastor and had to be at my church that morning. When the driver called in Ron told him to tell us that if we didn't accept the delivery then we would have to pay a waiting charge.
I accepted the furniture and was amazed at how many pieces were broken. I had the driver sign the paper I wrote all the broken items on (after showing them to him and taking pictures of each item).
When I contacted the "Star" of David they refused to talk to me any longer and said they would only handle us by mail.
I finally received our claim form from them after weeks of them trying to say we hadn't signed our bill of ladings properly. I would love to join anyone in a class action law suit against these people and warn everyone to rent a truck and take it yourself or strap it on your back and carry it over hiring these crooks and common law criminals.
You will never believe how they have mistreated us and our belongings. Let me know and well help.
