Re: MyPerfectCredit.com
Account collections (invalid debt)

Dear Sir or Madam:
I am writing to you in regards to your continuous harassments and demanding calls for a debt that I do not believe to be legitimate. Your collection agents have not made any indication to me what this debt is regarding. Furthermore, they have been extremely rude and not forth coming with regards to how they have been given my information.

According to the Fair Debt collections practices, as is spelled out by the Federal Trade Commission and the Bureau of Consumer Protection, you have to by law send me a written statement of this debt itemizing what this debt is for and how it is that you came to the amount owed. I have repeatedly asked your Collection Agents for a written letter with this information when they call, but they simply give me the same answer, Collection attempts will continue! And then they hang up the phone on me.

According to the law you have 5 days to send me a written statement indicating what this debt is all about and how the charges were calculated. If this is a legitimate debt then prove it to me, otherwise stop the harassing phone calls immediately. As of today, it has been 7 days since I requested the written statement.

On or about May 22, I visited the web site MyPerfectCredit.com and was promised a free credit report and credit FICO score from all three major credit bureaus. So I signed up and gave my credit card info as was required and in the fine print was promised that I could opt out within 5 days without incurring any charges whatsoever. I viewed my credit report but was not satisfied with the results of what the website promised. I was not shown all three reports and what I saw was not correct and was out of date, furthermore I was not granted the FICO score as promised.

I immediately made a phone call to cancel this membership and opt out. When I attempted to contact MyPerfectCredit.com by phone all I ever got were busy signals. Attempt after attempt no one would ever pick up the phone not even and answering service or telephone prompt system. I then emailed my written request to cancel and opt out to the website directly. I only got a canned response from the website indicating that their support personal were extremely busy and that they would attempt to get back to me in the order that the email was received. So I again emailed the web site back and again got the same response back.

It is very important to note that after viewing my so called tri-merg credit report all I ever used this web site and service for was for the purpose of viewing my FICO score and never received it. The web site promises all kinds of pay for services but I NEVER subscribed to a single one of them. The last thing I would need is another credit card especially a Pre-Paid secured debit card like the site offers. Furthermore I have excellent credit and wouldn't need the services of a Credit Repair company. Not that any legitimate service even exists. The point being is that I know this service to be fraudulent and illegitimate. I have done some research on the Internet and with the Oregon State Attorney Generals office, and MyPerfectCredit and 1st. Credit of America are both coming up with negative marks.

I have reported both MyPerfectCredit.com and 1st. Credit of America to the Federal Trade Commission, the Better Business Bureau, the Oregon State Attorney General's office, and the National Fraud information Center.

Do not attempt to contact me by phone again and if you do I will consider all future correspondence to be illegal and you will hear from my attorney. This letter serves as my legal right and demand for all collection attempts to cease and desist.

Regards,
Thomas *
