I activated four phones in two month period and Virgin Mobile froze my account so that I couldn't make or receive calls. Just because of that. They said that I had too many esn autherizations. (the contract they give you says nothing about that. If it says that in yours, please tell me how many phones you can own, because nobody at Virgin Mobile can tell me.)
My Top UP balance was $78.06 before they suspended my account. After they reinstated it, my balance is $43.06 and I didnt make any calls. I had to fax them idiots copys of reciepts from each phone that I purchased, and have $35.00 deducted from my balance.
Three of the phones that I bought have a known defect with the only normal sounding ring tone that the phone has. (Kyocera K9 phone, ring tone called "telephone") I buy the first phone, get home and notice that it dosen't ring when set to "telephone" ring tone.
Go back to Radioshack and the guy working there calles Virgin Mobile to see if their any known issues. The Virgin Mobile rep tells the Radioshack clerk that if I had just purchased the phone that day to exchange it. So instead of explaining that this junk phone doesn't work on this ring tone, he has the clerk exchange it. (Im sure radioshack really wants me to keep opening new phones when they all got the same problem-NOT!)
So Virgin Mobile creates the problem, and after a few phones get activated, they suspend my account and hold it hostage. Now I guess if my phone breaks they will shut me off again, and I'll lose the rest of my balance.
Even a woman clerk at radioshack who witnessed this called Virgin for me today and got the same MTV Punk'D attitude. All the supervisors which I spoke to have this super arragont "I really don't give a damn attitude also.
Once my balance is gone, so am I. Oh BTW, If I were a lawyer I would pursue this matter further.
