Hilory Beckford wanted my 16 year old daughter from Oklahoma to live in her New Jersey townhome while managing my daughter's modeling, singing and acting career in New York. She charged $1,800 for rent for 2 months and offered to help with transportation to work each day. She charged $500 for a portfolio and $65 for the book to put it in. She charged $160 for modeling compcards.
After my daughter arrived in NY, Hilory forced her and the other girls living there to walk the streets of NY City every day alone. They rode the buses and subway alone every day AND night. She NEVER took them to a job. We paid for all the transportation. They were not allowed to have a key to the home and could not stay home during the day. There were a few casting calls the girls went to, but not many.
One night, Hilory sent the girls out with a designer who took 2 of the 16 yr old girls to several nightclubs, offering them liquor. My daughter turned it down, the other girl drank it.
One night, 3 girls were locked out of the townhome all night. They slept on the front porch and Hilory or her husband would not let them in. It was cold.
After final words with Hilory concerning a botched job that was Hilory's fault, and the unsafe conditions of my daughter, Hilory told us that she was putting my daughter in a hotel until we could arrange to pick my daughter up in NY (mind you we live in OK. At that point, we had our daughter call 911 and have the police escort her to safety and she caught a plane home through child protective services.
My daughter had to leave the premises 40 days before her rent was up AT HILORY'S REQUEST! Hilory refused to pay $300 for 10 days of June (she left June 20th). We NEVER received one single compcard and she has refused to pay us the $160 for that. The only thing we got out of the portfolio was 304 pictures on a cd done in 4 different outfits. We have NO pictures printed in a portfolio. Hilory was making my daughter buy Kinko laser prints out of our own money the whole time.
I paid the $63 to Hilory for her paypal account to keep her off my daughter's back, and now she refuses to pay that back. I was STUPID to pay that anyway, I'm not responsible for her business expenses.
Before my daughter left, Hilory's 29 year old daughter threatened to physically TEACH my daughter respect. They also told my daughter that since she was from the SOUTH, she ESPECIALLY should treat NORTHERNERS with respect.
Since my daughter left, 2 other girls from our same agency have still worked for Hilory. Although our Tulsa, OK agent is getting her 5% profit from Hilory for their jobs, these 2 girls have received NOTHING. Hilory tells them it takes 4 to 5 months for them to get their money.
I contacted the Better Business Bureau, and so far, they have only called our Tulsa agent and accused us of trying to make money off Hilory. EXCUSE ME? Hilory's REAL name is Hilory Dixon and she is married to Lloyd Dixon.
