I purchased, for $9.95, a three-day service package from this company back in October. I was trying to find a lost relative. I then cancelled the service the next day. They have continued to bill my checking account for $29.95 every month since. It took me months to track down who was making the charges to my account.
I have never used their service since the first day. They have never contacted me requesting a renewal. They do their billing through CCBill.in my case, they never contacted CCBIll that I cancelled the service within the three-day grace period. Online Detective.com is clearly an illegal outfit. Their website provides no contact information. Both the email address on the website, and the one you can get through CCBill, will get you nothing but an automated response.
The 212 phone number I have included was provided by another customer with a similar complaint against this company. I have been calling it for three business days, but get only an automated response. Still, you can leave a message.
