Worldcom wireless mci telecommunications corporation BAIT AND SWITCH PRACTICE

My name is kordu drammeh and i have been with worldcom wireless (a subsidiary of mci telecommunication corporation) since around august. Their agents (who they now claim are not their authorized dealers) signed me up for a cellular phone service plan and told me that i was pre-approved for two additional phones. I took them on their offer and currently have 3 calling plans with worldcom.

One of them is a $29.99 plan and the other two are $39.99 each. From september of all i received from this company is nothing but a headache with their billing system and their bait and switch tactics. First of all my $39.99 plans were originally offered to me with 600 peak minutes along with unlimited free night and weekend minutes.

This was the bait and the switch came after i started enquiring about my service disruption. That is when i was told that my account is suspected of fraud and they demanded documents to prove my identity -which i submitted - and after which the service was restored.

The problem with this wireless company switching on their promise started with them saying the agents were not their authorized dealers but yet they accepted these same agents clients' accounts into their book of business and continued to bill and receive payments from me.

From the very time i received their bills (on each of the three phones) unscrupoulous and miscellaneous charges and adjustments keep popping up every where and now worldcom (mci) is claiming that my original $39.99 calling plan does not come with 600 peak minutes but 400 minutes and that i am to pay for all the mintes exceeding the 400 minute limit.

One of the agents (sanra) asked that i upgrade from a $39.99 to a $49.99 plan so that she can give me a $105.25 credit on my 12/13/01-01/12/02 bill and she did. She also said that from that bill onwards, i should expect to be paying not more than $56.00 each month, but on the contrary not only did i receive another bill -from 01/13/02-02/12/02- for $343.28 but even the original bill which i thought was already taken care-of showed up making the charges even higher than expected.

I spoke to a so-called supervisor who said that those changes will not take effect until after the date i spoke with ms. Sandra (2/20/02).

The above statement is just concerning one of the calling plans but this is what i have been going through with each and every bill received from worldcom wireless (mci).

I am being constantly threatened with an early termination fee of $250.00 if i decide to opt out of this non-existent or bogus contract i do not have with them.

No contract at all was ever sent to me from the agents or worldcom (mci) but they still claim i cannot opt out of these calling plans before the one year term is over.

I know for a fact that they are preying on others like me and all we ask is for a stop to this bait and switch tactics to cease because it is very costly to people like me who are trying to keep in touch with our family (especially after the september 11th attacks).

I speak for the other people like me caught the jaws of cellular phone fraud by worldcom wireless (mci). Please help
