Charged my Credit Card for a renewal I didn't authorize AFTER I told them I wasn't interested!

Well, I read through everyone's complaints and didn't find mine, so here goes.

While I didn't have the same expectations some of you had about the experience, nor am I really looking for a soulmate, I did sign up for the 3 month deal. Actually got a number of matches, didn't communicate with any except one, and that abruptly ended, and I can't even remember why. I guess because I didn't really care. It never occurred to me the reason why you don't get responses is because they aren't paid members. That is neither here nor there.

I received one of those canned emails regarding my membership, which was about to expire, and was told to go to the site do all these things and I would be renewed. I didn't because I didn't want to renew. When I signed on I opted for the 3 month deal because it WASN'T automatic.
Then the emails ensued. I emailed on the 16th, the 17th stating I didn't wish to renew and DO NOT CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD! On the 18th I download my transactions, and there it is Eharmony.com! $29.95 for a one month renewal charged on the 18th of June.

As of my last communication with them, ADAM, an Eharmony Customer Care robot sent me his response stating that he took a close look at my account information, and unfortunately since the automatic feature in my account was enabled, and my request to cancel was sent after my latest renewal no refund would be provided.
What I want to know is who enabled this so called automatic feature, because I haven't been to the site nor accessed my account for some time, and certainly haven't done it since this problem began for fear they could say I was still active. I also want to know if why in the EHARMONY world the 16th and 17th of June don't come before the 18th???

My last email to ADAM stated:
" You people either don't read, don't care or are just plain dishonest. I think all apply. Don't send me anymore of your emails which clearly don't respond to mine. I am not interested in renewing which I have stated for the 4th time now. GET IT!!! My request to cancel was sent two days prior to the charge you put through, I have copies of the emails I sent and have provided to my credit card company. Things must be pretty desperate at eHarmony.com if you must take money from people to stay in business. I never enabled any automatic feature of this membership, you took it upon yourself to do so, and at your own risk. PLEASE BE GUIDED ACCORDINGLY."

In a previous email I also stated that if this matter wasn't resolved expeditiously I would be filing a report with the usacomplaints.com.Com, and I meant it.
