I've had my timeshare listed with Stroman for 13 years (that's not a typo) and haven't received one offer! You can't tell me that these bozos are doing anything more than throwing it on a (probably unadvertised) website somewhere and just hoping for the best. If they had any marketing skills whatsoever they could have sold this thing within 12 years.
They don't even assist you in listing your timeshare at a competitive price (i.E.By researching what similar timeshares are selling for)."By law we aren't allowed to do divulge what other timeshares have sold for" is their excuse (is it the law to remain so ignorant of the timeshare market that you can't even make an educated guess?)
I'm convinced that the only thing these folks are good at is lying to people and collecting $499 for "advertising" (yeah, right!).
I've looked around and haven't found a single company that sounds reputable (i.E. Doesn't want their money up front - what's their incentive to sell? They've already been paid!). If anyone knows of a reputable company let me know.
I'll probably just bite the bullet and donate it to charity and take the tax writeoff. At least I'll be out from under the maintenance fees.
