I purchased four very hard to find Porsche 928 Chrome Slotted rims in MI. The person that sold them to me used one of the UPS Stores in MI. This store is managed by Brian J Rose NL&B Enterprsies L.L.C DBA The UPS Store #293 at 36500 Ford Rd Westland, MI 48185 phone number 734-595-1288. The story is the rims were brought to the store in mint condition flawless and packaged by the UPS store and shipped. They were shipped on March 1 and once received it was noticed that the UPS Store packaged the rims 2 in a box. They used the foam worms and placed a flat piece of cardboard on each of the rims (on the chrome face). Well need I say more, the rims moved back and forth rubbing the cardboard across the face of all four rims. Now they are all scratched and the process of starting a claim with UPS.
Each box was insured for $600.00 each and there were two boxes for a value of $1,200.00. UPS was suppose to send someone to look at the rims and instead sent a UPS drive that thought he was picking up a box. When I informed him that he was suppose to view the damaged rims he simply walked away and said he would tell his supervisor that someone needs to come out and do this.
Well that never happened and once I started contacting UPS Customer Service they basically waived the right to view the rims and were instructing Brian Rose of the UPS store in MI to go ahead and pay the claim in full. I have emails from Brian Rose backing this up.
Long and short UPS does not want to pay the claim because the want a receipt showing how much I paid for them. I believe that this is none of their business as to what I paid for the rims. All they want to do is pay out the amount you paid. That could be $100.00 or $900.00 either way they were insured for $1,200.00 and that's not enough to purchase Mint rims at an average cost of $698.00 per rim used.
So after much run around to no avail I will be forced to take legal action and let the courts decide.
