Inphonic sent me a contract with my phone which I "agreed to by opening the box" (never signed and returned). This contract included terms different from the ones presented online - in particular, changing my new phone's number was forbidden under the new terms but not the old. Because of the change in terms, I was denied the rebates, and was charged a bogus $250 "termination fee" (although I never terminated my phone service).
I changed the phone number the day I got the phone, but Inphonic waited until after the 60-day termination window to inform me of the termination penalties. Perhaps they make more profits in "penalty" fees than in actual goods and services.
I would urge anyone shopping for a phone to AVOID considering Inphonic. Their bait-and-switch contract tactics are a nasty scam.
