On Wednesday April 20th my husband received a phone call also on his cell phone regarding a credit card with a big amount of credit line. He is trying to re-establish his credit and was told there was a one time fee of $249. He gave them the information they needed and told me about it that night. Of course, I was very sceptical and tried to contact the number the next day. They didn't identify themselves in any way. The way they answer the phone is "customer service may I help you" That doesn't get it with me and I knew something was not right. They refused to give either my husband or myself the name of their company or any kind of information. When we asked to speak to a supervisor we were informed that their supervisors weren't speaking with anyone.
As I read about the complaints with Sureway Beneficial I understand that they are located in Canada and there is nothing that can be done as far as a lawsuit. I guess when this is all over we will be forced to close out our account and re-open another one in case they try and deduct more money in the future.
