ADNET is abusing at least 1 of the 2 editorial positions within the open directory project (dmoz) under the category business/wholesalers. Over a period of 3 years, these editors have built their business up by putting down competitors through unfair trade practices and the misuse of its' editor position.
By excluding and disadvantaging competitor sites through tampering with categories and subcategories, these editors have been able to direct the majority of traffic from the open directory project to its' ppc directories and affiliated sites (wholesale.com) for a profit. Despite numerous complaints to DMOZ of this ongoing abuse, these editors continue to reap the financial rewards through selling the wholesale traffic to the same competitor it has blocked.
Since dmoz's is the largest search directory on the Internet many companies have either been forced out of business or forced to pay the wholesale411 advertising fees to be found on the Internet.
The wholesale411.com pay per click directory and forum group is owned and operated by Adnet. Annonymous posters are bashing paid advertisers by flaming, libel, cyber stalking and other illegal means to destroy advertises who maintain their own websites and who have not purchased wholesale 411 storefronts. It is believed the moderators of the forum and possibly the owners operators are actively taking part in the bashing in order to promote the wholesale 411 stores.
