I want to send out an alert to watch out for this company. They are nothing but scammers out to get your money. This is my story. I submitted my photos and they emailed me back saying that they want me to compete to be a possible finalist/semi-finalist for their modeling company. They told me that they help girls get gigs throughout the world and they only choose a small percentage of those that apply. They told me that I was one of the lucky few!!! I had to fill out a form on www.photomaxstudios.com/form.htm and send them $300-400. I had to pay my own plane ticket and hotel room to Florida. My mom decided to go with me to be on the safe side. They called us the day that we had arrived back in November. We waited 45 minutes at a storefront for someone to show up. We thought it was a scam from the start and was about to leave as soon as the photographer had shown up.

We waited an extra hour for the make-up artist, but she never came. The photographer had to call someone else and it took her nearly an hour to get to the location. After the photoshoot it was nothing said about what would happen next... I was extremely confused. I returned to my homestate and they sent me small contacts of all the pictures that I had taken. You coudln't really make out the full picture. Not only that, they sent me a form in order for me to buy my photos... Which were about $30 per enlargement (depending on size) and plus I was to pay a fee for retouching. Not having enough money at the time, and considering the fact that I was unemployed, I decided not to buy the pictures. They sent me a card in the mail back in February. Asking me to contact them. They said they had contacts to the major agencies in the Miami area. We kept in touch and they said they wanted me to meet at least four. Then again, I fell for their trick. They seemed soooo nice and helful, I pretty much excused their issues from the first meeting. I decided to drive down (with someone) to the Miami area, and that took 14 hours. I had to pay for my own hotel. I had spoken to a lady named Jennifer, she said she was going to go with me to at least four agencies and to call her as soon as I got in town. I called her the day ahead to remind her where I was staying. She told me what to wear, how to do my hair/makeup, etc. I called her back the day I arrived and she said, "I will call you back later." She never returned my phone call!

I decided to call her that morning that we were suppose to go to the castings and she never picked up her phone. I left a message for her to call me back and she NEVER called me back! I'm very hurt and upset at how much money I invested in this. Her nickname is "church lady" but a REAL church lady wouldn't act that way and SCAM people that are STRUGGLING out of so much money. My total investments would be nearly $1400 (Photomax studios deposit hotels plane tickets (first trip mom & I), gas money, food, etc). Beware of these crooks in florida and don't get scammed like me!
