I have been billed for a year now, over $200 all together. Turns out that someone we knew used our telephone number to get service, and we were billed, not even knowing it till now.
I had to talk to so many people, then tralee, and ridley both say they can't help me out. Well first off they are the ones who let it happen. Online the only info they asked for was a name, phone number and email.
What kindof scam is that? You have to have more than that little of info to sell something, really now. I have been so stressed out, they will only credit us 2 months, no more than 3 the guy has said. Thats not fair. I had never even heard of these people before until my local phone company noticed it on the bill.
I am wondering if there is a way to do something about them letting just anyone apply and recieve this. The person who did this to us, the identity theft, happens to be a very sick relative, and its just made things a mess. We have thought about pressing charges against her, but like I said its a mess. I just want the credit back that we paid, and for these horrible companies to be stopped. This is terrible that they can get away with things like this, hurting so many people for no reason but to better themselves. It honestly disgusts me.
