C'mon people&wake up and smell the reality here... JUst dont pay and dont get too worked up over this nonsense. We all know its a scam. The scary part is, I believe the telephone companies are quite aware-maybe not in cahoots, but they certainly are willing to turn a blind eye and not address the situation. Sure, they'll turn your complaint over to the fraud dept, where they act like its the first time they ever heard of this. Please, your feining ignorance of this scam only leads us to
the assumption that you know ALL about.
THink about it, your local phone stands to profit as well if people are intimidated into pating these bigus charges. All of this happened tome last fall, and I simply told all parties (via reg mail) that I wasnt falling for it, was hip to their scam and I was not paying anybody anything for charges I did not accrue-end of story. These scammers are like zits-ignore them and they go away - But the real criminal here are the legitamate phone companies.
