I ordered a home appraisal service from a lender who contacted Ruff & Company Realtors to do the job. I was charged $310 by John Ruff in advance. The next day before I cancelled the order before he did anything.in fact I cancelled the order by calling Ruff & Company Realtors, the lender, and I also let my realtor know that I cancelled the order. My realtor even told me that he would call her before he would do the appraisal as they agreed that he would not enter the house without the presence of my realtor.
For several days I tried to reach him and he was always out or on the phone or somewhere else... Finally when I managed to speak with him arrogantly denied everything and said that he did the appraisal and would not give me the refund. Based on Ruff & Company Realtros cancellation policy I should be refunded $210 as they would withhold a $100 cancellation processing fee.
