Found Ductmasters in the Yellow Pages because my chimney was leaking inside. Mr. James said he would look at it. They advertise free estimates.
When it rained again, my chimney still leaked (pots and pans in the chimney and lots of towels to catch the water.) I called and he sent a man out who told me that the base that the chimney vent sat on was rusted so badly it had two holes in it. I asked why did they put a new vent on a rusted out base. I was told to just find someone to put some tar on it. I told him I paid them to fix my chimney. They should have admitted they could not make that kind of repair.
I called Mr. James and he told me the same thing. For six months he refused to return my phone calls. I contacted a local TV station and after they contacted him, he sent his person to remove the cap, but only returned $84.00 of my $159.00.
He said I owed him a $75.00 service fee. I say he owes me for lying and scaming me. I later found a fireplace service to fix my problem; however, I had to purchase a new vent because Mr. James took my old one (which was not damaged).
