American Chimney Sweeps, owned by John Judd of 523 S. Harvard Villa Park, IL., changed it's name to American Chimney Services after Channel 5 investigative did a report in 2003 about fire that was caused by one of American Chimeny's employees. The report went on to address American Chimney's business practices because after the fire, American Chimney Sweeps refused to refund the customers money, which was approximately $900.00.
When Channel 5 did a 2nd investigation on them in 2004 concerning it's continued business practices, the owner John Judd, changed the company name to Chimney Solutions, Inc. And moved the company approximately 1/2 mile down the road, from Villa Park to Addison, IL.
He has attempted to shake both Channel 5 and his former customers with the changes made. The advertisments and coupons sent out to hook their next victims have changed to so as not to give any indication of their past.
