I had two layaways at toys r us. I paid one off and they called to the back for them to bring it up. I waited 40 minutes and was about to miss my kids getting off the bus so i told them i had to go and she called back and no one was even pulling it yet so they finally went to get it. I had to meet a woman around the side of the store. She had a slip of paper with the number of the layaway on it, searched for it and brought a box out and opened it, i barely looked in and told her i didnt know what exactly was in there and that i had to go before my first graders got off the bus, she quickly said it was fine that if something was missing to just bring it back. I got home and realized it was not the order i paid off but it was my other layaway. I had things to do and was planning to take it back the next day. I called my soon to be ex and asked if he would take the toys back for me the next day and explained all that happened and he said yes%u2026. But later i recieved a phone call around 9 pm saying they had messed up and gave me the wrong order of mine and that someone had cancelled it later that evening and they were wondering if i was going to bring the toys back%u2026 Well i know i didnt cancel it and i am wondering why someone who is not me and didnt show my id was able to cancel my layaway. No one had permission to cancel or pick up my layaway. This is in their terms and conditions of their layaway that you must present a photo id to begin, alter or refund a layaway. I dont know what to do with the toys because if i bring them back i am screwed out of 350 dollars because they gave my money to someone else. Im now getting threatening phone calls from managers at toyr r us saying that if i don't contact them in 24 hours they will be calling authorities. I will never! Ever! Shop here again and i put that on my children that i will not. I didnt mess up or obtain any merchandise that wasn't legit given to me and to my knowledge was paid off. Then they mess up and cancel the layaway they gave me already and gave my money to someone else%u2026 I am contacting my lawyer and i will make sure to return the toys after the case and before that i will counter sue 350 dollars for the layaway they let someone else cancel and give my money to someone who wasnt me.
