After paying for chihuahua puppy that would be ready to go on January 25th (through paypal) I caught Cathy Knell in a series of lies about this puppy. Was concerned it might be too small because she it was going to be under 2 lbs. Cathy said it had already been to the vet and it was extremely healthy and, in fact "one of the healthiest the vet had seen".
I later spoke directly to the breeder and the puppy had not been to a vet yet. Told Cathy I wanted a mild mannered dog to be with my cat. She told me that the puppy was very quiet and cuddly and that if she didn't have kids she would keep it for herself as it was special.
I spoke to the breeder and was told it was a little terror of the bunch. I got the impression from the breeder that Cathy had not ever seen the puppy. I no longer felt that I wanted to make a purchase through this company and this puppy was not suitable for me. I did not sign any contract.
I told Kathy the same day that I did not want to proceed with this puppy and being an "ethical" breeder she certainly should not want a puppy to go to anyone but someone who wants it 100%. She was reluctant to refund my money. Finally she agreed that she would but said that she would do it within 10 days or earlier, if the puppy sold.
Waited 10 days and nothing. Was told that the puppy was sold but they were waiting for the money. Then I was told that the money needed to clear. Received a notice from paypal on January 4th that my money was being refunded but the funds were not certified so I had to wait further for Kathy's money to clear. Was advised by PayPal on January 14th that the funds did not go through.
This company is all about the money and their "fancy website" is nothing more than facade. They care nothing about the puppies. This company spent my money before this puppy was even ready to be delivered.
