About a month and a half ago I received a call from a telemarketer letting me know that I was entered in a sweeps for being a good visa cardholder and I also qualified for a free watch. Then he went into a magazine offer. 58 dollars for the first year, divided into 12 monthly charges, and then it would be free for the second year. I specifically asked him "so I pay a couple of bucks a month until the 58 dollars are paid off?" He agreed. I figured it was a good deal and went w / it. Someone called to confirm and then another man called to verify my info. Very friendly guys. I asked the third man about the installment payments, but he said there aren't any. I'd be charged the 58 dollars before I get any magazines. Still figured it wasn't a bad deal. I received the bill explaining it would be 12 monthly charges of 58 dollars. I called customer service and spoke to the worst customer service reps. I have ever come across. I got attitude right off the bat. Says I can't cancel and it's what I agreed to. Why would anyone agree to pay 58 dollars a month for 5 monthly magazines? I feel like an idiot for even giving them the time of day
