Groupon puts the customer OUT when 50" TV arrives cracked! - Groupon Phillips 50" flat screen TV

I ordered a refurbished; factory warranty 50%u201D TV on Groupon. I paid $670 for it on 8/15 and after 12 days it arrived on 8/27 by way of UPS. I opened the box the following day to see that the bottom right corner was crushed and a crack ran the width of TV. I emailed Groupon with pictures that night. The rep told me that I had to take the TV to USPS (not picked up by UPS as it had come) and that it would take two weeks for the shipper to receive the TV and then up to 30 days for my refund.

That would be roughly 60 days that I would be without my $670 and still NO TV.

I asked him to offer another solution. I don%u2019t have the capacity to move a TV of that size and weight plus I work full time and a single mother of 3 kids, one of which is 2. He has yet to respond%u2026.
In light of the delay of my money and with no response from Groupon, I hired a sitter today so I could ship the TV and not have to worry about my 2 year old running around in the parking lot while I try to navigate a huge, heavy box.
Unfortunately USPS closed their desk hours early. I am now again with the TV and now must take time off work on Tuesday (Monday is a holiday) and return the TV.
I am VERY displeased with Groupon to expect the customer to be the one who is put out, not Groupon or the Shipper who didn%u2019t package it properly %u2013 only the customer is at a HUGE disadvantage.
