I had a complaint about an inappropriate comment made by a manager to several employees at the Big 5 in Yucca Valley, California. On Friday, August 16, I observed a person coming in to apply for a job and when he gave the application to the manager and left the store, the manager commented on his low GPA to the other employees standing in the front of the store. I felt this was totally inappropriate for a manager to make such a comment regarding a personal application on someone to the other staff in an insulting manor regarding the person applying. I feel that this manager first should never have made that comment to the other employees, much less openly to where other patrons can hear the comment.
