Hello.
Last friday August 9th, two workers from the Brick were making a delivery to 55 Wynford Heights crescent in Toronto around 12:45 in the afternoon. My sister lives in that building and we were dropping off cardboard boxes into the recycling bin at that time. A Brick truck pulled up and the young driver shouts out at us to move our vehicle as he was making a delivery. I told him we'd be a couple seconds longer, we just had to get rid of our boxes. He then pulled his truck out and began reversing threatening to block us in if we didn't move. I was amazed at his suddenness to anger. I told him to just give us a couple more seconds and then we'd get out of the way. He then pulled forward and said he was going to hit our vehicle if we didn't move, and he proceeded to back up, coming centimetres away from my car. My sister screamed at him to stop, asked him what his problem was, and told me to move my car. At this point, I couldn't as he was backing up into it, so as he was pulling forward to scare us again, I got in front of my car, hoping once he saw that an 8 month pregnant woman was behind him that he'd stop. He didn't, he kept reversing. I screamed at him that I was 8 months pregnant and was he planning on hitting me? He said he didn't give a fuck if I was pregnant, that if I didn't move my car he'd hit me. My sister came behind the truck too, to protect me, but the guy kept trying to back into us. He then jumped out of the car and began screaming at us to get out of the way. I tried telling him that we just had a couple boxes and then we would leave, but he just jumped back into the truck and began reversing again. His partner got out and tried to beg us to move, but he wasn't telling the driver to stop at all.
I have already written about this event on facebook, I will continue to tell anyone who will listen about these men working for the Brick who had no problems about hitting a pregnant woman over 5 minutes in their impatience to get by. I am appalled.
I have photos of the licence plate of the vehicle and my sister has photos of the men. I expect to hear back from you very shortly telling me what you plan to do about this. Your driver threatened and almost succeeded in running over a pregnant woman because she asked for 2 minutes to unload her boxes in an area which she was allowed to do so in.
