Great Value Butter Sparks Like Metal When Melted in Microwave

I have noticed that when I melt this brand of butter in the microwave it arcs like there is metal in the butter. If the butter was packaged in the foil wrap, like some margarines, I would assume I got some of the foil wrap in with the butter, but that is not the case. I am interested to know why it does this. Makes me a little uneasy about what is in the butter.
